How we started
12x12 started as a small exhibtion, in a studio, organized
by a group of students from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. The premises were simple: on the same walls, 12x12 cm artworks are exhibited, inside or attached to a cd case, with no captions or information on the artwork or artist.
All the artworks displayed are available at the same price, towards the end of the exhibition, the purchased artwork is taken out of the wall, and another takes its place.

Where we are now
Being held every year, we are now at our 13th Edition. Over the years we have welcomed more and more artists, changed to bigger locations, and other editions were made with larger works, always in a square format. Come and join us with your paintings, drawings, prints, or just come and pay us a visit in our 2024 Edition.
